Putting A Duvet In A Duvet Cover
There are some things that with normally take for granted and think we know until we are confronted with the situation. Some days ago I read about how a woman was struggling to put in the duvet in the duvet cover to the point of labelling them “useless” and complicated. I have written a lot about Calvin Klein duvet sets and others and all that jazz but I have never thought of this as worthy of a post until now.
Allow me to share with you some of the easier way you can employ when doing this. Hopefully it will save you from the frustration and possible damage to your white duvet cover caused by the pulling and folding and helplessness.
I have met different people who do it differently but one who stood out is a woman who pratically crawls inside her flannel duvet cover in order to stretch and flatten the comforter while inside. That is way too much work if you ask me – for starters you have to lay the cover on the floor, which can mess it up especially and may even collect some invisible germs.
One of the most easier ways is to just roll it up – like a carpert. Once you’ve done that just put it in the duvet and unroll it. Alternatively you can just turn the cover inside out and then line it up perfectly before turning it right side out. While inside out just line up the quilt with the inside seam of the cover. From there you just flip it right side out while still holding on to the corners.
My last recommendation is to buy and use some duvet clips. In order to use these, you need to do like above i.e. turn it inside out, line it up then put the clips at each corner at the seam. The clip could be metal but try to find one that is covered in soft foam. Once you’ve clipped them on then flip the cover back right side out.
