Scrapbooks Are A Creative Way To Bring Friends Together
If you are like thousands of others who cannot wait to take photos at every occasion and get them printed only to dispose of them into a drawer. It is a habit many of us share, but there is a solution for getting all of those photos out on display. Scrape booking is a fun and creative hobby that is simple to get friends and family together.
If you are new to the hobby there is plenty of information on the web with easy instructions on getting started. It is best to use your imagination for decorative items to use on the photos as some of the kits can be expensive and complicated.
This form of creativity allows you to use your imagination while making interesting photos have a wow factor to them. If you have an adorable picture of your daughter posing on a motorcycle, cut out a black helmet to attach to the picture. Using ideas to build on photos is a great way to add creativity to your collection.
Having a birthday picture party every Saturday afternoon for a month will get all of your friends and family involved in a fun creative way to spend the day organizing photos. Send out birthday invitations with instructions that it is not an actual birthday so the only thing to bring is a scrapbook album, the pictures from their oldest Child’s previous birthday and some odd decorative items to be used on the photo albums.
To make it even more interesting suggest they only bring a specified amount of pictures and only from a certain day, for example, only bring twenty photos from Christmas morning. There are a number of different ways to get friends and family involved in creating the photo albums. You could all meet at the local hobby shop for selecting necessary items for your gathering. Or you could have the instructions for guests ‘to bring’ items.
Once everyone is at the shop set limitations on how much to spend and what should be purchased. For example have each guest pick out five different scrapbooking papers and two different packages of decorations. When you return home everyone will combine their purchases as a free for all in decorating. Have the guests pick a name at random and their assigned name will be whose album they create using the pictures the person has brought.
To make the party exciting have each guest draws a name from the hat. The name you get is whose photos you will decorate and compile into an album for them. Having friends get involved with your new found hobby will keep you interested and add excitement to a Saturday afternoon gathering.
