How one beam imprisoned his heart
The yellow flowers in complete blossom till the eye could have a look…daffodils probably. They remember the photo sessions every time at this time of the year-springtime glory this seemed!! Never thought the Woodland Hills Plumbers (Need one? click here!) could have such a harrowing time with the piping system to provide just the right dose of moisture to the soil. She was just a blimp on the camera screen before she zoomed into full view a few moments later. He had no problem counting his heartbeat at over a hundred. Never a dull moment when she was around …straight over the railing onto the green lawns tumbling round each other damp with fresh grass dew. it never appeared to be like that always. So there, he came across her when they were auditioning for the fresh face of the year. Hanging out at the pizza corner every day was about the most exciting event of his twenty-three years on this earth. Except of course the oddball he threw past the Woodland Hills Roofers (Need one? click here!) goalpost for the celebrated shot at last year’s Softball tourneys. Nights would go into the mornings sans the dream ever reaching the point where he would go on to propose to the dreamy girl. Sounds eerie now that he thinks back of all those empty evenings, waiting for the sweet smell of daffodils going past his nose. Give him this face and he shall make a thousand flowers blossom in the desert. That’s what he told the panel at those auditions. She won the competition without much debate and doubt. That season they had a blast each time a new proposal for the client was debated on. They didn’t have a choice. They chose her face all the time. Flash bulbs trained on her would start looking lack-lustre the moment she smiled her thousand-watt smile. The Woodland Hills Electricians (Need one? click here!) rushed to fix the fuse every time the shutter clicked her beaming eyes. And he was all red in the face when her stare would cut straight through his heart. Cupid could not have done a better job at stealing his heart, floored that he was with the zoom lens, always zoomed in.
