During the first months of the baby's life, you have to keep a specific time schedule in feeding because this will allow your baby to sleep better at night. You can also put some soft music to the radio or read a story so that the baby can hear your voice. Make sure that the baby is clean and dry. Feeling wet can be very irritating and might make the baby nervous and upset. You should always keep that in mind. You should also make every effort to keep a schedule in feeding hours. Having a normal schedule will help the baby adjust to the new life and will also help you sleep at nights.
Another thing you can try to keep your baby happy and relaxed is to wrap a soft blanket around the baby. This way you can simulate a hug or the comfort of a warm and caring place and the baby will probably calm down and stop crying. You can also try to have a routine before bed time. For example you can get used to giving your baby a bath and then sing a lullaby to relax it. The baby will then understand that it is time to sleep. Try these methods and you will certainly see that things are getting better.
