Is Santa Claus Really For Real

In the 1890′s Christmas lights were very dangerous.People used candles to light up the tree and back then the trees were all real.  A tree that became dry was a quick way to have a house fire.  In the early 1900′s they began making small lanterns that would be attached to the branches of the tree to light the tree in a much safer maner.  With the invention of electicity came many new inventions.  Christmas lights were used by stinging lights together on the tree.

Today there are many different styles of Christmas lights.  There are lights designed for indoor use on the Christmas Tree as well as decoration for the whole house.  There are even many different styles used outdoors.  Over the years many people have been able to decorate their home with fancy lights and people will travel from miles around to view the lights in the upper class neighborhoods. Most of the neighborhoods with the real nice lights are where people can afford to buy the lights and cover the cost of electricity.

Over the past couple of years there has been some great news for the rest of us.  Not only are we able to better afford the lights but there are lights that cost much less to operate.  As LED lighting has become more popular, LED Christmas lights have come down in price and the cost to operate the lights has been said to be about 90% cheaper than the traditional lights used for Chrismas.

There are many places now offering the LED version of Christmas lights though they are still not as easy to locate as the standard Christmas lights.  I would expect to see these in the main stream over the next few years.  I recently located a great place that has a wide selection of Christmas Mini Lights which have the look of the traditional Christmas Lights. My family and I have been working on a Christmas blog where we list some great gifts that we have located from all over the internet to help people locate gifts for friends and family.  The title of the blog is Christmas Gift Reviews.  It is nothing real fancy but we are adding many new great tips each day.  I would like to invite you to visit our blog to read our tips and ultimately, we hope you will use our links if you decide to make purchases.  The links on the site work as referrals to the stores where we located the gifts.  If purchases are made, the website owners send us a small referral fee to help us support our blog.  The site is called Click2Christmas.com and we welcome you to visit us anytime.

Remeber if you are looking to save money on your electic bill during the Christmas season, you can use LED Christmas Lights to help save money and go green for Christmas.

We hope Have a very Merry Christmas,

Teresa and William
