Valentines Day is right around the corner, so it is once again time to start planning my valentine craft projects. I love this time of the year because every Valentines Day allows me another opportunity to get creative. It also presents me with having to research new craft ideas I haven’t made before. But that’s not a bad thing, so I look forward to it.

Ordinarily I start by looking for free valentine heart clip art that will give me the main idea for the craft project. Since the focus will be on Valentines Day, I will limit my searches to hearts, flowers or other iconic Valentine’s Day images. Staying focused should be simple, because the ’Net has so much Valentines Day clip art.

I also find that free vintage Valentine cards from the Internet provide wonderful inspiration for Valentines Day craft projects. Since the cards already have wonderful designs, even a relatively simple structure will produce a tremendous craft project. Another marvelous idea for creating Valentines Day crafts is to use free flower print paper. These online scrapbook supplies are free and include embellishments, photo frames and borders that can help make your craft project exceptional. There are even 3D stickers can go a long way toward making your project literally stand out. When all is said and done you’ll probably find that colorful scrapbooking supplies you either download off the ‘Net or buy in a store add a lot to a project.

So when you set about making valentine crafts this season, remember to go online. Keep things basic and let the art you choose shine through. That will give you a visual advantage from the start and make the whole thing go a lot smoother. Oohs and aahs from family and friends will probably result. And if crafts sales are what you’re after, you will also have an advantage over your competitors.
